Phone Holders for Your Ride
There are plenty of Phone Holders on the market today that make finding the right one sometimes daunting. Here are some recommendations based on personal use and reviews. You may want to read on regarding some of what you should consider when purchasing one. Our top picks may not fit your style or Your Ride.
The quad Lock is hands down our top pick. This holder uses a locking mechanism that works in conjunction with a “quad-lock” phone case (sold separately). For stability and ease of mind this one stood out. The other candidates held there own and you certainly cannot go wrong with one of them if they fit your need. I can state from experience that although the RAM mounts are solid, over time my phone started dropping out if I hit a big enough bump in the road. The one downfall for quad lock is that you have to buy a quad-lock case that fits your phone. So more money for the mount and more money for the case. (Note that there are several variations of the quad-lock mount) I had a RAM mount and purchased the quad-lock Ball Adapter mount which works nicely with the RAM mount.
Things to consider when choosing the right Phone Mount for Your Ride.
Mounting Type:
There are various mounting options, including handlebar mounts, fork stem mounts, and mirror mounts. The choice depends on your bike’s design and your preference.
Compatibility:
Ensure that the phone holder is compatible with your smartphone’s size and model. Look for adjustable holders that can accommodate different phone sizes.
Stability:
Check for reviews that mention the stability of the phone holder, especially at high speeds and on rough roads. A good holder should securely hold your phone in place.
Ease of Installation:
Reviews often mention how easy or difficult it is to install the phone holder. Look for one that’s easy to mount and dismount when needed.
Adjustability:
A quality phone holder should offer adjustable angles and positions to help you find the best viewing angle while riding.
